With the goal of creating a safe space at which to hold local LGBTQ community events, the auditorium at ArtServe has been officially renamed as “The Our Fund Foundation Hall at ArtServe.”
“The Our Fund Foundation is one of the top three LGBTQ-focused foundations in the entire nation,” explained ArtServe Executive Director Jason Hughes. “Especially because they’re known for their careful, thorough assessment of partners, we’re honored they chose our space for their investment.”
An opening reception has been planned at ArtServe to introduce the newly renamed venue on Tues., Jan. 24 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event will feature a special program of artists and arts groups supported by The Our Fund Foundation. To RSVP email wfloresbravo@our-fund.org.
The Our Fund Foundation promotes philanthropy, manages enduring investments and conducts impactful grant-making to improve the lives of those in the LGBTQ community in South Florida.
A diverse slate of future events has already been planned for The Our Fund Foundation Hall at ArtServe throughout 2023. The newly sponsored auditorium recently kicked off the schedule with a guest appearance by onePulse Foundation’s Barbara Poma, who toured Florida in her efforts to memorialize those who died in the 2016 Orlando Pulse nightclub massacre.
“Having a dedicated space helps to galvanize our many community programs,” Our Fund Foundation President David Jobin said. “Knowing there’s a safe place at which the LGBTQ community can gather is a cornerstone of furthering our outreach and ensuring the success of our funding recipients in turn.”
In between Our Fund events, The Our Fund Foundation Hall at ArtServe will be available for booking by other organizations. The flexible space includes a stage, light and sound system, and theater-style or table seating for up to 175 people.
