Sea you at Fort Lauderdale Beach! This summer, The LOOP (Las Olas Oceanside Park) invites everyone under the sun to turn up the heat in Fort Lauderdale’s oceanfront backyard with a series of events, including Dog Days of Summer Movies by Moonlight Series and a revamped rendition of the Las Olas Oceanside Park’s Farmer’s Market coined The MKT!

Dog Days of Summer Movies by Moonlight Series:
The LOOP invites the community and their furry companions to the Movies by Moonlight “Dog Days of Summer” series. Locals and visitors of all ages are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and a favorite movie date to the main lawn at Las Olas Oceanside Park. Come early to dine at one of Fort Lauderdale Beach’s restaurants, shop the People and Pet Market starting at 5 p.m. or bring a picnic for a dinner and a movie experience under the stars. Movie snacks and drinks are also available to purchase onsite, and limited chairs and blankets are available to borrow. The events will take place on the last Friday in June, July and August.

• Synopsis: Denny Swift is a Formula One race car driver who understands that the techniques needed on the racetrack can also be used to successfully navigate everyday life. Besides his career, Denny has three loves of his life — his beautiful wife, their young daughter, and his best friend, a dog wanting to be reincarnated into a human.

• Details: Take in breathtaking beach views and enjoy the ocean breeze while perusing an eclectic array of traditional market fare ranging from fresh produce and fruit to global flavors, made-to-order foods and handmade and homemade items to wear and decorate homes. Attendees are invited to bring a picnic blanket and lawn chair to enjoy a rotation of live music and interactive experiences while they shop and stroll the market vendors or take part in the weekly oceanside yoga class and a variety of lawn games, including pickleball, badminton, lawn darts, cornhole and more.
