The 11th Edition will be celebrating 22 years of saving lives at A Safe Haven for Newborns Annual Gala at the International-Downtown Miami on Oct 28th, 2023, with special honored guest Lauren Pastrana of CBS4 as Mistress of Ceremony.

The highlight of the evening will be seeing the real-life impact of Safe Haven through very moving testimonies by Safe Haven babies now growing up with the love and guidance from their forever families. Founder Nick Silverio remembers with great emotion the first Safe Haven baby, Carol Gloria. The firefighters named her Carol because the station is in Carol City and Gloria for the Glory of God, coincidence as Nick’s late wife Gloria and the reason behind starting the organization shares the same name.

As a non for profit relying on the generosity of individuals, corporate donors, foundations and our annual fundraising events: the Gala hopes to count on the continued support this year for A Safe Haven’s lifesaving mission, either through sponsorships, tickets, auction items, or a donation of any amount.

Maintaining the belief from the beginning 22 years ago the saving of one life from the ultimate in infant abuse, abandonment efforts would be worthwhile now proudly 381 precious lives ago (371 in Florida, 9 in other states and one little one in the country of Honduras).
