Downtown Doral Hosts Family-Friendly Dias De Los Muertos Festival

WHAT:
Downtown Doral is turning Halloween from dark and spooky to vibrant and fun with its Dias De Los Muertos festival! The FREE event will have a family-friendly celebration from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m., followed by a nighttime celebration from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
During each portion visitors can pose for photos with live Catrinas and Catrins, the iconic symbol of the holiday, and a custom, six-foot-tall Skull named “Flora” that will be made entirely of vibrant and colorful silk flowers.
Earlier in the day, select restaurants will also be running Dias De Los Muertos specials and will feature activities, such as candy giveaways. Then at 7 p.m., Downtown Doral will come alive with lights, musical parades from Mariachis and special Dia De Los Muertos menus and signature cocktails inspired by Flora. Attendees can also offer wishes at the ofrenda to long-lost loved ones that Flora can take back with her when she returns.
