United Way of Broward County’s Commission on Behavioral Health & Drug Prevention will host the inaugural National Addictions Solutions Summit on Wednesday, February 28th at the Riverside Hotel Fort Lauderdale.
Attendees at this free event will learn and discuss what the cost of a preventable overdose is and the solution for new prevention and innovative strategies.
The keynote speaker for the event will be Van Ingram, Executive Director for the Kentucky Office of Drug Control Policy, and the event will be moderated by Dr. Stephen Loyd, Chief Medical Officer of Tennessee-based Cedar Recovery, who has been in recovery since 2004. Loyd is the inspiration behind Michael Keaton’s character in the Emmy Award-winning series “Dopesick.”
