About the Artist in Residence Lila Lopez (also known as LiLO): A native of Nicaragua, LiLO has lived and worked in Miami since 2001 and is an emerging artist recognized for developing innovative techniques that create multimedia artistic experiences. LiLO found her artistic calling through involvement in the 305 art community. LiLo is experienced in mixed media, oil, lithography, sculpture and digital art/video and has a diverse and varied portfolio. Her works emphasize vibrant colors, surrealism and repurposed e-waste and examine isolation, repression, survival and empowerment.
