Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of South Florida is hosting its first annual pickleball tournament. Pickleballers, from beginners to advanced, are encouraged to show off their forehand drive and support for RMHC-SFL on Friday and Saturday, October 18-19, at The William H. Kerdyk Sr. Biltmore Tennis Center in Coral Gables.
RMHC South Florida is essential in reducing the stress and financial strain families experience when they travel long distances to access medical care for their children. They provide lodging, meals and amenities such as laundry to help provide a sense of normalcy while families go through some of the hardest times of their lives.
“Donations help families stay close to their children while they receive life-saving treatment and remain near to the medical care they need. We want to make life easier for families and your support is vital in helping us fulfill the needs of more sick children and their families,” says Executive Director Soraya Rivera-Moya.
The event begins Friday at 6:30 PM and kicks off again Saturday at 8:30 AM. The tournament is directed by Pickleball Management Group (PMG) and will feature 20 courts and multiple brackets, including Singles, Doubles, Mixed and 50+. Entry fees vary by bracket, $75.00 – $125.00/player, and payouts start at $2,000 for the Open Bracket. The tournament will offer a Set Partner Pool Play with a Single Elimination Bracket and a Rotating Partner Round Robin Bracket to cater to players of all levels. Spectators are welcome to attend and contribute $5 towards RMHC South Florida.

This event will host several food vendors, raffles, giveaways, a silent auction and more.
