The OUTshine LGBTQ+ Film Festival spring edition, internationally acclaimed as one of the largest LGBTQ+ cultural festivals in the world, is pleased to present its Fort Lauderdale Men’s Spotlight Film – Midas Man, a musical comedy-drama about Brian Epstein, the visionary who shaped music history by launching The Beatles’ meteoric rise. The film screens at 7:30 p.m. on April 26 at Paradigm Cinemas: Gateway Fort Lauderdale (1820 E. Sunrise Blvd.).
Meet Brian Epstein. From managing a Liverpool record store to launching The Beatles’ meteoric rise, his journey was one of ambition, passion, and struggle. Jacob Fortune-Lloyd stars as Epstein, navigating fame, cultural revolution, and personal demons. Behind the success lies a gay, Jewish man seeking love and acceptance in a world not yet ready. Midas Man pulls back the curtain on the swinging ’60s, revealing the triumphs and heartbreaks of the man who changed music forever. Step into Brian’s world, where everything he touched turned to gold—except the happiness he longed for. The supporting cast includes Emily Watson and Eddie Marsan as Epstein’s parents, and Jay Leno as Ed Sullivan.
The film runs 112 minutes.
