Coral Gables Museum Presents Winter Break Camp
December 19 through 23, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m
The Coral Gables Museum invites children ages 5 to 12 to Winter Camp. The Museum promises to entertain children during school break and allow parents ample holiday shopping time. The Museum will present holiday arts and crafts activities along with one major group project: to design and create the Coral Gables Museum’s float and costumes for the 63rd annual Junior Orange Bowl Parade. Campers and their families will be invited to dress up and join the Museum’s unit on the day of the parade, Monday, January 2nd at 3 p.m.
The Junior Orange Bowl Parade is the signature event of the Junior Orange Bowl International Youth Festival. Hundreds of children and young people take to the streets of downtown Coral Gables in this celebration of active youth and community. This also marks the first year that the Coral Gables Museum will participate in this 63-year tradition.
“The Coral Gables Museum is delighted to present new creative programs for children and youth in the City. We are also excited to participate in the celebrated, long-standing tradition of the Junior Orange Bowl Parade,” says Director of Programs, Caroline Parker Santiago.
Tuition for Winter Camp is $150 for family members and $175 for nonmembers. Partial scholarships are available for families who can demonstrate financial need. To register for “Winter Break Camp: Join the Parade,” visit www.CoralGablesMuseum.org or call 305-603-8067.
