Sturr’s orchestra is on the “Top Ten List of the All-Time Grammy Awards,” and has acquired more Grammy nominations than anyone in the history of musical polka awards. The group has built a loyal fan base and their tremendous popularity has also resulted in being voted the “#1 Polka Band in the Country” for the past 10 years. Jimmy Sturr and his Orchestra have recently completed their third recording with country superstar Willie Nelson, and have also recorded with other notable artists over the years, including Charlie Daniels, The Oak Ridge Boys, Boots Randolph, Mel Tillis, Brenda Lee, banjo virtuoso Bela Fleck and folk legend Arlo Guthrie.
 
Jimmy Sturr and his Orchestra have appeared on Saturday Night Live several times and The Grand Ole Opry, as well as performed to sold out crowds at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and more. In addition, the band has appeared in television commercials for Budweiser, Pontiac and Mrs. T’s Pierogies, who selected Sturr to be their national spokesperson.
