Prom band THE STATE OF take the stage in the Main Ballroom at midnight with a full set of ’80s covers, DJs Ray Milian + Tommy Gunn will be playing all your favorite new wave and dance hits. In the Bar Room, the superstar tag-team of Hottpants + Laura (WVUM) spin ’80s booty, freestyle and guilty pleasures… In the Garden, the amazing Deejay Smeejay will be playing the best ’80s makeout music.
Plus a very special performance by Dancestasy.

This Thursday (((SHAKE))) will kick off The Borscht Film Festiva! The Borscht Film Festival is a showcase of homegrown films by young independent filmmakers, seeking to define the cinematic identity of the city. You can find out more here.
There will also be a canned food drive, with free admission for everyone that brings canned food to (((SHAKE))). Cans will go to Daily Bread Food Bank

Saturday 11/28/2009 – DANCE RITUAL with ‘LITTLE LOUIE’ VEGA hosted by Back Door Bamby
‘Little Louie’ Vega’s Dance Ritual is cast from a different mold than other parties in the City of Lights. Vega’s 5-hour solo sets are born out of all night marathons at Larry Levan’s Paradise Garage and David Mancuso’s Loft. Dance Ritual is a slowly-building crescendos of bumpy house music, Afro-Cuban influenced tribal rhythms, and fervent soulful vocals, climaxing with a crowd full of satisfied yet quizzical expressions, wondering where the night went, why the sun is out, and why their feet hurt so much.
I would recommend wearing some comfortable shoes.
