A La Mode Boutique in partnership with Inimitable Events, Fierce Simplicity, and N’Namdi Contemporary Gallery present “ Umoja,” Thursday, February 20th, at 6:30 pm.

Umoja is the Swahili word for unity. During kwanza, it is the day routed around the principle of striving to maintain unity in the family, community, nation, and race.

Umoja will be a showcase bringing together guest from different backgrounds in celebration of Black History Month.

Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing the central role of African Americans in U.S. history.

The event will take place at N’Namdi Contemporary Gallery, Located in Wynwood.

The evening will feature a showcase of African American art, literature, music, dance, and culture.

Get ready to dance, sing, and enjoy the night as we take you through a cultural journey.

The evening promises to be enlightening, purposeful, and fun. There will be live vocal performances, spoken word, a live band, and so much more.

Refreshment will be provided.
