Chef Gaetano Ascione launches a Cooking Academy at his Spasso Italian restaurant in May. This hands-on class will teach basic knife skills, increasing your “ingredient intelligence” and prepping delicious Italian dishes, showcasing each class’s key ingredients. Classes take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays beginning May 18. These are fun courses, where groups of two to five will learn techniques and how to cook without recipes. After class, dine at the Chef’s Table and enjoy delicious Italian wine. Classes are tailored to students’ level; novice or experienced cook. Wear comfortable clothes and closed shoes and bring your good mood and questions. Ages 21 and up.
