The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), North Miami is thrilled to present Marcos Ariel as part of its monthly “Jazz at MOCA” series. Ariel is a contemporary Brazilian pianist, flutist, and composer who will enamor you with his delightful compositions and wildly popular approach to blending indigenous rhythms with American Jazz.
Ariel’s unique music caught the eyes of the Jazz Festival in Sao Paulo where he had the opportunity to open the evening for the world-famous David Sanborn and Stanley Jordan. Ariel’s successful bi-coastal career between Rio de Janeiro and Los Angeles has made him an acclaimed artist and has increased his popularity tremendously in Brazil and the U.S.
Get ready for an impactful night of contemporary Brazilian music, rain or shine! MOCA’s Edouard Duval-Carrie: Metamorphosis exhibition will be open by donation from 7-10 p.m. during Jazz at MOCA.
