The Broward Folk Club will present the South Florida Folk & Acoustic Music Festival on Sunday, January 30, featuring some of South Florida’s best acoustic musicians.
The one-day event will be at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds in Davie, an outdoor venue. Hours are noon to 7 p.m.
This festival expands the definition of “folk” music to include Latin jazz, roots, Americana and more. The event also will include workshops, music jams and vendors.
Performers will include Amy Carol Webb, Rod MacDonald, The Copper Tones, Patchouli, Bing Futch, Thania Sanz Tropical Soul with Leslie Zigel, plus singer-songwriter winners Friction Farm, Karyn Oliver and Cecilia St. King.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door for the full afternoon of music. (Broward Folk Club members get $5 off.) The advance ticket discount ends Jan. 27.
For the safety of festival goers and performers, all entrants must show proof or vacation or a negative PCR test no more than 72 hours old. Masks will be required in performance areas. No outside food and drink are allowed. No pets are allowed. Parking is free.
