Slide off your shoes and slip into the weekend! Friday Night Sound Waves, the free weekly concert series presented by the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Beach Business Improvement District, returns to The LOOP (Las Olas Oceanside Park) for the start of their 7th season on Friday, March 18, 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.

Friday Night Sound Waves welcomes locals and visitors, the young and the young at heart, to enjoy some of South Florida’s best musical talents, performing an eclectic range of genres, including Jazz, Latin, Country, Top 40, Indie, Oldies and Classic Rock. Returning this season is the Friday Night Sound Waves Dance Party powered by Florida Power & Light (FPL) during the band break.

Attendees are invited to come early to enjoy a variety of pre-concert activities, ranging from lawn games to open workouts with OutFit Training that will take place at 5 p.m. and again at 6:15 p.m. New this season is the addition of local restaurants and vendors, providing a rotation of food and drinks to enjoy before, during and after the show.

• May 27 – Southern Blood, Southern Rock – Memorial Day Weekend Presented by SunTex Marinas – The Southern Blood Band is a “Salute to American Southern Rock” with hard driving grooves, signature Southern vocals & dueling guitar force.

o *This event will take place at Las Olas Intracoastal Promenade Park: 80 Las Olas Circle. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy food trucks.
