Please join TiE Florida and NetIP for a happy hour and networking event featuring Green Speaker Albert Harum-Alvarez. Albert is quickly becoming South Florida’s “green expert” as his home is known as the Green House in Miami for it’s truly sustainable building practices. It’s generated so much buzz that he now hosts weekly open houses for residents to see how any one of us can make a home sustainable and economical if we just think a little bit more about our surroundings.
Albert and his family have built “The Green House” in Kendall, a home with electric bills of $35 to $110 monthly, about 75% lower than comparable households in their neighborhood. The Green House has been featured in films, on television and in print. The family offers regular tours to share their design techniques with others and welcomes you to tour their house on Saturday, June 5th.
Albert will give a brief talk about his “Green House” and answer any questions you may have for him on how to incorporate some of these features into your life. Happy hour specials, appetizers and one free drink ticket are included with registration.
