Shops at Merrick Park, Coral Gables’ pristine destination for fine shopping and dining, invites families to join in the seasonal festivities during its Fall Celebration and Food Drive. The celebration will take place on Saturday, October 21, and Sunday, October 22, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This weekend of fun aims to support Branches, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing life-changing opportunities to hardworking families and their children, helping them break the cycle of generational poverty.
The event offers a variety of family-friendly activities including life-size games, a colorful fall scene photo opportunity, balloon art, characters, face painting, a DJ, a sensory station, and an ice cream station. To contribute to this cause, Shops at Merrick Park encourages attending families to bring non-perishable Thanksgiving food items such as instant mashed potatoes, boxed/bagged stuffing, canned cranberry sauce, and canned/jarred gravy. All collected items will be donated to Branches. Additionally, the charity will offer gift bags containing Thanksgiving meal “fixings” for a $10 donation.
Following a day of activities and shopping, families can enjoy meals Shops at Merrick Park’s restaurants, including Yard House, Sea Grill, C’est Bon, Villagio Restaurant, Sawa Restaurant & Lounge, Perry’s Steakhouse, and Ecléctico Restaurant & Agave Bar.
