It’s Star Wars Day: May the 4th at Museum of Discovery and Science. Celebrate the galactic forces of the world and meet iconic Star Wars characters like Stormtroopers and Jedi Knights from the 501st Legion Everglades Squad and the Dagobah Temple – Saber Guild.
Exhibits, Shows and Demos: Build your own bot to help restore order to the galaxy! Become a Padawan and experience the steps it takes to be a Jedi in our interactive workshop. Collaborate to engineer a Starship out of cardboard boxes and use the force to complete challenges that are out of this galaxy!
Animal Encounters: Meet creatures from the Star Wars universe and from planet Earth!

Just for early learners (ages 0-6): Young Jedi initiates can create a Galactic Star, launch a starship with the force and explore magnetic powers.
It’s an epic day of interstellar adventure!
Children can also visit and investigate ocean marvels in MODS’ latest traveling exhibit, Voyage to the Deep – Underwater Adventures. “Seas” the day and embark on the legendary Nautilus submarine with Captain Nemo for an interactive journey of underwater exploration! The exhibition was created and developed by the Australian National Maritime Museum, an Australian Government entity. Flying Fish manages the exhibit tour. It is locally sponsored by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
Experience South Florida’s award-winning attraction featuring 150,000 square feet of dynamic science exhibits, an outdoor science park, a live animal collection, a rotating schedule of science shows, learning labs, café, store and a grand atrium featuring the Great Gravity Clock, a 52-foot-tall kinetic energy sculpture; the largest clock in Florida. The showpiece of the museum since 1993, this unique timepiece is one of only three in the world.
