The Miami Music Festival is seeking Volunteer Stage Managers
The Miami Music Festival is Miami’s premier new live music conference and emerging artist showcase. Over 350 performances by bands and solo artists will take place over a 3 day period on stages throughout Miami. These showcases are put together for the representatives of the music industry who attend the conference and for the people of Miami. You will need to be available to volunteer the entire festival November 12-14.
The Stage Manager of a MMF Music Festival venue is the liaison between MMF, the venue, production personnel, the performer, and the performer’s representatives.
Pre-festival responsibilities include:
· Making advance contacts and preparations with bands and the venue for showcases at a MMF venue.
· Maintaining regular contact with the MMF Production Staff and Zone Manager.
Overseeing the orientation of volunteer stage and venue crew.
Requirements:
· A telephone
· E-mail (ability to check every day).
· Ability to commit pre-conference time to advance shows.
· Ability to commit to required meetings.
· Organization of and participation in a walk-thru of your venue with Stage Crew and Zone Manager.
· Attendance at your assigned venue for all nights of the showcases (call times will vary by venue and are subject to change).

Compensation: Stage Managers earn a Conference Badge, allowing all access to the conference and music venues including Bay Front Park day shows. In addition you will receive an MMF T-shirt and letter of recommendation and an invitation to the volunteer wrap party.

The Stage Crew of a MMF Music Festival venue assists the stage manager and artists in ensuring that all showcases run smoothly and on time.
Pre-festival responsibilities include:
· Attending all required volunteer meetings.
· Maintaining regular contact with your MMF Volunteer Coordinator and Stage Manager.
Requirements:

· Ability to commit to required meetings.
· Participation in a walk-thru of your venue with Stage Crew and Zone Manager.
