Art Basel Miami Beach has now become the largest most significant Art Fair in the Nation, second internationally only to Frieze London. Each year thousands of collectors, artists, dealers, and critics alike, flock to Miami for one week, resulting in a world wind of celebration and extravagance. This is only compounded by the lure of sales, and greater recognition for everyone involved.
Aware of these facts artist vie for an opportunity to showcase their newest most exciting series of works. For some it remains just another week, but for most it becomes the finals. The pressure can be equal for artist, collector, and dealers, all looking to make, buy and sell art.
The Christopher Miro Gallery would like to welcome this Basel with supreme confidence. GBGH means, “GO BIG or GO HOMEâ€, and that’s just what we intend to do. Chi Chi Menendez, Tom Scicluna, and Dan Walker will be presenting a combination of sculpture and photography that take up their personal dialogue with this great city.
