The Carnival of the Animals Carnival

Orchestra Miami presents a fun-filled Family Concert, the “Carnival of the Animals Carnival” to raise awareness for the Humane Society of Greater Miami’s Adopt-A-Pet, featuring a performance of Respighi’s Gli Uccelli (“The Birds”) and Saint-Saens’ Carnival of the Animals. The orchestra will be led by Orchestra Miami Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi and the featured piano soloists on the Carnival of the Animals will be duo pianists Jose Ignacio Diaz Gravier and Leila Torres. Concert-goers will be greeted by the zany antics of the Fantasy Theater Factory and on the way out of the concert, will have an opportunity to give a loving home to a needy animal from the Humane Society of Greater Miami’s Adopt-A-Pet.

The concert will be on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 3:00 PM at the University of Miami’s Gusman Concert Hall, located at 1314 Miller Drive, Coral Gables, FL 33146-7610.
