Locust Projects presents The LAB Locust Arts Builders opening reception 7/10/10

MIAMI ART SCENE PIONEER, LOCUST PROJECTS, ANNOUNCES A COLLABORATIVE EXHIBITION BY SOUTH FLORIDA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

The LAB (Locust Arts Builders)
Opening Reception: Saturday, July 10, 7-10pm
Through August 2010

Pioneers in the Miami art scene, Locust Projects is pleased to announce a collaborative exhibition by a select group of South Florida High School students. Under the direction of renowned contemporary artist Monica Lopez de Victoria of the TM Sisters, nine local high school students will experience the invigorating and arduous process of conceiving and executing original artworks from June 28 to July 10, 2010.

These students, currently attending Design and Architecture Senior High, Hialeah Senior High, Miami Northwestern Senior High and New World School of Arts answered an open call and were hand-selected by a committee of local art professionals.

Participating Artists: Omar Alvarez, Leslie Chavez, Jason Flores, Luna Goldberg, Kevin Hobbs, Ximena Izquierdo, Vanessa Lacayo, Asher Mones, Christina Quinlan

As a hallmark that makes Locust Projects stand out from other art venues, the organization embraces cutting-edge exhibitions and innovation in art. In furtherance of the not-for-profit’s twelve-year commitment to providing an approachable arts venue for the South Florida community, for the first time, Locust Projects has created an exciting new program in which a young generation of artists are given the opportunity to create a collaborative exhibition in a public venue.

The project will be developed and exhibited in Locust Projects’ 2,700 square foot space in Miami’s Design District and culminate in a publicized show, open to the public. The goal is to promote contemporary art and project-based learning as a means to encourage creativity, critical analysis, and problem solving, while building communication skills. This unique initiative will allow young artists to learn the practical and exciting aspects of creating a public exhibition in collaboration with their peers.

2010 marks Locust Projects’ 12-year anniversary. Locust Projects is alternative, not for profit exhibition space dedicated to providing contemporary visual artists the freedom to experiment with new ideas without the pressures of gallery sales or limitations of conventional exhibition spaces. Artists are encouraged to create site-specific installations as an extension of their representative work and Locust Projects offers them a vibrant Miami experience to develop their ideas and methods. Locust Projects is committed to offering an approachable and inviting venue for the Miami and international art community to experience the work and meet the artists. With more than 65 exhibitions, representing more than 210 local, national, and international artists, Locust Projects has supported site-specific and installation artworks featuring photography, video, performance, sculpture, drawing, painting and digital media making it a nationally-recognized art institution, and a landmark in the Miami art scene.

Monica Lopez De Victoria is a Miami-based artist that works in collaboration with Tasha Lopez De Victoria under the name TM Sisters. Together the sisters work in the mediums of video, digital video performance, VJing, collage, social experiments, zines, clothing, installations, and interactive video created along with their brother Samuel. The TM Sisters’ recent exhibition, WHIRL CRASH GO! at Locust Projects was featured in The Miami Herald. The sisters’ work has been included in the international traveling exhibition “Uncertain States of America: American Art in the 3rd Millennium;” the Second Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art, and PERFORMA 07 in New York. for times and artist information

Space, Art and Love. What are they and are they connected? Niki Lopez is mounting a visual art exhibition and will attempted to explore the inter-connective relationship of the three.
The exhibition will showcase paintings, photographs and prints that embrace the elements of the theme “Space, Art, Love.” Many of Lopez’s work has ‘extra-terrestrial connotations as it is a subject she seeks understanding about, “It is arrogant for us to believe that out of all the universes and planets of those universes, that man on earth is the only intelligent being”. Each of her pieces explores different theories, tells a story or asks a question, which amongst other things, compel us to explore outside of the ‘box’.
Other artists in this exhibition include Luzalma Gonzalez, Kazilla, Klodi Lemoine, Tabatha Mudra, David I. Muir, Laura Peterson, Michael A. Clark, and Sharon Swift- who will be displaying photography in collaboration with the Broward Center of Performing Arts’ ‘Flamenco in the Sun’.
Hosting the opening night will be poet Renda Writer of WeMerge Talent Magazine and will include performances by Spoken Word poet Jashua Sa-Ra and the cast of Drag It Out. After party music will be spun by DJ One Star.
The month long event will feature different themes each Saturday between July 24 and August 14. These will include fund-raisers, workshops, Erik Proulx’s movie “Lemonade” and guest speaker Jim Shermer of the Broward Cultural Division (check website for more).
Opening night’s refreshments provided by Be Organic and ‘café con leche’ by Underground Coffeehaus.
The exhibition will raise funds for The Cooperative Feeding Program,
while food items will be collected on behalf of the RENMEN Foundation
which supports a Haitian children’s orphanage.

CALIX GUSTAV GALLERY DEBUTS NEW EXHIBIT THE PASSING
Wynwood cutting-edge gallery exhibits the fleeting of time, new seasons and new beginnings representing rebirth

Calix Gustav Gallery will debut its newest exhibit The Passing on Saturday, July 10, 2010 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. with an opening reception and complimentary cocktails for all guests. The exhibition’s reception will take place at the gallery located in the Wynwood Arts District (98 NW 29th Street) and will coincide with the bourgeoning neighborhood’s monthly art walk.

Calix Gustav’s The Passing exhibits the fleeting of time, new seasons and new beginnings representing rebirth. This resurgence is only accomplished with the understanding of life; its meaning and its hardships. Ecuadorian-born artist, Jovan Karlo Villalba creates cinematic paintings featuring visions of sweeping cataclysmic events. The increasing threat of man-made devastation in forms of biological and nuclear warfare, environmental catastrophe and economic ruin, in conjunction with their magnified portrayal in the media, has created an onslaught of social alarm and has subversively woven feelings of doom into the fabric of present-day life in America.

Colombian-born artist, Catalina Jaramillo creates an installation that deals with issues raised upon both separation from her partner and her mother’s death. The installation celebrates the obsessive tendencies that some manifest with their loss and grief, it is an accumulation of the memories and objects left behind at times of loss. In reviving those who we’ve lost we learn to accept life’s realities and thus, learn to move on and accept our destiny. The installation will combine aspects of performance art, video, photography, and sculpture.

Sculptor Richard Herzog examines parts of society and nature trying to bring awareness to these elements hoping to alter the viewer’s perceptions and make them look at things differently and consider the world they live in. The sculptures are a combination of a systematic organization of natural forms possessing a chaotic multi-layered visual effect mimicking our world, dominated by its rapid pace and over stimulation.

The Passing will run from July 10 through September 1, 2010. Regular gallery visiting hours are from Tuesday to Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information visit www.calixgustav.com.

Jean Claude Rigaud: Meet the Artist

The Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum
Florida International University
Maidique Campus
10975 SW 17th St.
Miami, Florida 33199

Join us for Rigaud’s lecture on July 12, 2010 which will focus on his art, “past, present and future.” He will discuss his upbringing in Haiti and how he ventured off to many parts of the world to learn from master sculptors including French sculptor, Olivier Seguin. He studied art and engineering in Mexico and New York. At Columbia University, he studied marble, carving and art history. He worked as an engineer in New York City, then later became a full-time artist.

Rigaud’s sculptures are abstract, geometric forms drawn in space, with smooth and polished surfaces inspired by Alexander Calder, Brancusi, Archipenko and David Smith. Rigaud is concerned with space and form. The open areas become an integral part of the composition, as important as the enclosing line. “In my sculptures, the negative space has form, has volume,” explains Rigaud.

He now lives and works in Miami.

THE GENERAL (1926, US, Buster Keaton, 75 minutes, b&w, DVD)—Consistently ranked among the greatest films ever made, Buster Keaton’s The General is so brilliantly conceived and executed that it continues to inspire awe and laughter with every viewing. Rejected by the Confederate army as unfit and taken for a coward by his beloved Annabelle Lee, young Johnnie Gray sets out to single-handedly win the war with the help of his cherished locomotive. What follows is, without exaggeration, probably the most cleverly choreographed comedy ever recorded on celluloid. The Dynamo Café will also offer 2-for-1 beer and wine from 6-9pm on Dyno’Nites, especially designed as a venue for the local community to present their talent and knowledge. artist statement:
“I follow a basic protocol when approaching the collage or an abstract painting: first the palette… then design format and composition ensue. My art reflects my experience of living in a multi-dimensional/media world, hi-speed communication and travel; and a heightened awareness of infinite possibilities. I also use recycled materials, which are found in abundance, and find the results to be of divine inspiration.

My goal is to teach children and adults who have no idea they have the ability to create beautiful, expressive art. I enjoy the one-on-one experience and thrive as a witness to the unfolding joy of each persons’ discovery of their own unique experience….that will sustain the bridge.”

An All-New Sketch & Improv Show from South Florida’s Premiere Comedy Company

Instead of heading to the movies this weekend, why not cuddle up with a good book? Wait. Scratch that. Instead of cuddling up with a good book this weekend, why not head to Impromedy’s all-new sketch and improv comedy show STFU! This is a Library at the Roxy Performing Arts Center?

STFU! is a unique and uproariously funny blend of original sketch (think Saturday Night Live, Mad TV) and improv (think Who’s Line is it Anyway?) comedy by South Florida’s top improv performers. So what is improv comedy? It’s comedy made up right before your very eyes. No scripts, no memorized dialogue, no rehearsed scenes: just crazy ideas, tons of energy, and your suggestions. No audience, no funny!

Watch in amazement as Impromedy players (who have trained at The Second City, Upright Citizens Brigade, and Improv Olympic) bring audience suggestions to life on stage and answer their most burning literary queries, like, “What would happen if Green Eggs and Ham was an action movie?” STFU! takes audience members on a hysterical tour of the library, if your librarians were Tina Fey and Dane Cook.

So, if you wish you read the classics in high school instead of picking up the Cliff Notes… Or if you hate it when your boss references famous literary characters that go right over your head (“Son, you remind me of a young Captain Ahab.”)… Or if your personal library consists solely of the film adaptations of Nicholas Sparks’ novels… Don’t miss STFU! This is a Library!* We can’t promise you’ll learn anything, but you sure will have fun!

*STFU! This is a Library is not a legitimate alternative to summer school/SAT prep classes/or reading the newspaper.

Get Your Head Out of the Clouds Art Exhibit 7/3/10

“Get Your Head Out of the Clouds” Art Exhibit
07/03/2010, 07:00 p.m.
RODEZart.com Gallery
CocoWalk
3015 Grand Ave., Suite 237
Coconut Grove, FL 33133
http://www.rodezart.com/RODEZart_Gallery.html

“Get Your Head Out of the Clouds: a visual voyage through the artist’s mind and creative process.”

Join us on Saturday, July 3, 2010, during Coconut Grove Gallery Night from 7 to 10 pm.

RODEZart.com Gallery presents George Rodez’s impressionistic/expressionistic works of art from his Elements & Values series and Mari Sanchez’s torsos and image sculptures chiseled from such stones as Alabaster and Soapstone.

For Rodez, this series breaks all boundaries, traditions, and rules to produce what is purely an expression of freedom for the artist. Rodez states, “In this body of work I have no influence or respect for light, shadow, dimension, perspective or proportion, but rather I allow myself to be led by the images seen in the abstractions no matter how they turn out. While some of these can be quite beautiful, some on the other hand can turn out to be quite monstrous. The art takes on a life of its own.”

In a manner similar to how images can be found in clouds, Rodez without any preconceived notions of what color, texture, or its end result, mixes his acrylic paints with free abandonment to first create what appears to be an abstract work of art. Then by exploring the abstract from all sides and angles and visualizing through his imagination and ability amongst the chaos of color, he finds images that only he as the artist can find and creates a work of art that is then recognizable to the viewer.

On gallery night Rodez will demonstrate how he paints this series, transforming an abstract work of art to a figurative one.

For Sanchez, this work represents a life-time passion. Her sculptures are inspired by nature, people, and the things we surround ourselves with. Sanchez states, “I carve stone and bring forth an aesthetically and emotionally pleasing figurative object from what appeared to be a chunk of rock. It is this process of exploration and discovery, the revelation of form and substance through the continuous removal of materials, that is so satisfying. However, in the process I interact deeply with each of my sculptures and in the end they are the ones that tell me what they want to become.”

The exhibit will be on view from July 3 – 31, 2010. Gallery hours are Sunday through Thursday, 11am to 7pm, and Friday & Saturday, 11am to 10pm. For more information, please call 786-543-7237 or 786-467-7111.

Tomás Sánchez, Lake Shore, 1986, acrylic on canvas, 31 ½ x 77 inches
Last opportunity to view the highly acclaimed one-person show, Tomás Sánchez in Focus.

“[…]Cernuda presents us with the retrospective Tomás Sánchez in Focus, displaying 13 representational works of the artist, wisely selected and which allow us to delve into what Gerardo Mosquera has referred to as “his landscape mysticism”…” Joaquín Badajoz, art critic
Tomás Sánchez o la Reinvención del Paisaje, El Nuevo Herald, Artes y Letras, Sunday, June 20, 2010

“Beautifying a natural landscape is impossible; reinterpreting it is a matter of virtue… A crossroads that Tomás Sánchez must encounter each time he stands in front of the easel with a paintbrush in hand. A task we are able to contemplate in the exhibition now showing at Cernuda gallery.” Jesús Hernández, art critic

Red Bull Flugtag Miami 7/10/10

Bayfront Park
July 10, 2010
Gates open: 10:00AM
First Flight: 12:00PM
Last Flight: 2:30PM
No tickets required. Red Bull Flugtag is a free event and open to the public.

Red Bull Flugtag, which means “flying day” in German, is a competition that dares both the brave and the brainy to design, build and pilot homemade flying machines off a 30-foot high ramp in hopes of achieving human-powered flight. But don’t be fooled – this is no ordinary flying competition. While distance is important, creativity and showmanship are necessary to impress the judges. These criteria have inspired such outrageous crafts as a sky-high Popemobile, an airborne outhouse, a flying fire engine, and even a replica of Santa and his sleigh to test their wings at Red Bull Flugtag.

RED BULL FLUGTAG MIAMI FLIGHT MANIFESTO COMPLETE
38 Teams to Take the Plunge into Biscayne Bay on July 10 th at Bayfront Park

MIAMI – May 6, 2010 – Teams from across the east coast look to defy gravity with their human-powered flying machines on July 10th at Red Bull Flugtag Miami. After reviewing more than 270 applications, 38 teams received their boarding passes to participate in the outrageous flying competition hosted at Bayfront Park. Selected flyers like Team American Muscle, Save Salad Toss Pizza and Das Jorts, will entertain the crowd as they launch their crafts with hopes of soaring across the bay.

If your German is a bit rusty, Flugtag means “flying day.” Each team of daredevils will launch from 30 feet above Biscayne Bay at Bayfront Park and attempt to take flight in their homemade crafts. The panel of celebrity judges will take three criteria into account in deciding who makes the podium: distance flown, creativity of the craft and the team’s showmanship on stage. Spectators will also have the opportunity to chime in for their favorite team via SMS voting to select the People’s Choice.

JAMAICAN BOBSLED, RUBBER DUCKY

Red Bull Flugtag Miami will have 38 outrageous crafts, ranging from flying squirrels, a giant guitar and a three tiered wedding cake topped with a bride and groom, built by participants ranging from pilots to engineering students and animators to roller derby girls. Each team of five will need to bring out their inner stuntman and sheer silliness in order to make a splash against a wide array of talent.

While the sky may be the limit on creativity, there are still a few flight regulations. First off, all flying machines must be entirely human-powered (no external energy sources or stored power, so forget about the slingshots, catapults or anything besides your own burliness). Second, no matter what they say, size does matter – all crafts must be less than 30 feet wide and must weigh no more than 450 lbs. (including the pilot).

PREPARE FOR TAKE OFF

For Flugtag novices, the first Red Bull Flugtag took off in Vienna, Austria in 1991 and has since visited more than 30 countries around the world attracting crowds of up to 300,000. Currently, 195 feet stands as the farthest flight which was set back in 2000 in Austria, but the US isn’t far behind with a record of 155 feet set in 2007 in Nashville, Tenn.! Miami will host the first 2010 Red Bull Flugtag in the US followed by the Twin Cities, MN, Long Beach, CA and Philadelphia, PA.

Red Bull Flugtag is a free event and open to the public. Gates open at 10:00am and the first craft launches for flight at 12:00pm.

Cremata Gallery Annual Summer Exhibition 6/25/10

Cremata Gallery’s “Annual Summer Exhibition”
June 1st – June 30th 2010
Gallery Night – Last Friday of the month – June 25th, 2010 / 7:00pm – 10:00pm
Show Dates: June 1st – 30th , 2010
Cremata Gallery – 1646 SW 8th Street, Miami FL 33135
www.crematagallery.com

Cremata Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of its annual Summer Exhibition that will be featuring various artists that have been with the gallery since its inception and others that have joined it recently, such as Enrique Toledo.

The exhibition comprises 40 works including paintings, drawings and sculptures. This exposition does not attempt to follow a rigorous chronological or thematic order; instead, it prefers to emphasize an eclectic selection of pieces by established masters, that are highly valued, as well as younger artists with promising careers. The result is a unique and eclectic show, entirely contrary to delimited chronologies and rigorous themes. The joy of the Summer Exhibition always comes from unexpected juxtapositions, not from the pairing of like with like, allowing the eye and imagination freedom, not telling you what you ought to admire or notice.

On this occasion, Cremata Gallery will feature Cuban artist Enrique Toledo (Santa Clara, 1966), who inaugurates his first exhibition in Miami. Toledo, whose work evidences magnificent technical skills, has developed a prolific pictorial portfolio based on famous works in the history of art, which he then recontextualizes in the present adding everyday elements to them. To view his oeuvre, is to make a ludic journey through the paintings of Lucas Cranach, Hans Holbein, Rafael Sanzio, among many other masters. The personages in his paintings radiate an enigmatic magnetism, inviting the spectator to penetrate the work beyond mere contemplation. Enrique Toledo boasts a productive career with more than 40 expositions in his native Cuba, Mexico, Portugal and the United States.

Felipe Lamoglia is a Cuban saxophonist, composer, and arranger, born in Holguin, Cuba. At the age of 18 a scholarship came from the prestigious Superior Institute of Arts (ISA), the most important University of Music in Latin America. His big professional opportunity came at age of 18, being hired to play with NG La Banda, one of the most acclaimed Cuban orchestras ever. Felipe funded his own Orchestra called Oni-Ache, traveling to Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1992 for a musical exchange program with the University of Sao Paulo and went on to live in Brazil for seven years.

It was later, in 2004 when Felipe joined the GRAMMY Award-winner Gonzalo Rubalcaba, recording his GRAMMY Award-nominated album “Paseo”, released by the prestigious Blue Note Records. Around this time he kept on performing for two years with the New Cuban Quartet all over the world. In 2006 he arranged and played on Ignacio Berroa’s new album “Codes”, also released by Blue Note Records and nominated for a GRAMMY as well. This led to performing with Mr. Berroa’s quartet in diverse tours.

Recently Felipe worked as a producer in Arturo Sandoval’s latest album “Rumba Palace”, which won a GRAMMY Award in 2008, being in charge of all the arrangement and composing. By the end of 2007 his first solo album “Dimensions”, recorded in Brazil, was released. This project incorporates his Afro-Cuban roots with strong influences of Jazz and Brazilian music. “I can assure you no other place in the world deserves my solo debut more. I really hope that everyone who in one way or another has followed and supported my music through all these years can enjoy this album and receive my sincere thanks through all my music.”

Key West Weekend Getaway and Sky Diving adventure 8/13-15/10

Key West Weekend Getaway & Sky Diving adventure
August 13-15, 2010,
Key West, Fl.
Facebook Event Page.

Depending on the number of people coming on the trip, we will be chartering a 30 or 50 passenger bus. Estimated transportation cost will be under $50/pp for the round-trip. As soon as we know if we need a 30 or 50 passenger bus, we will be able to provide the exact cost of the transportation per person.

You do not have to go sky diving, but it is an activity we are planning for those who do want to go. We currently have 2 proposals from hotels close to Duval street that can accommodate our group.

The Pier House Resort has offered us a $229 nightly rate for their Lenai Rooms. The rates for that weekend are usually $254/ night. Each Lenai room has a balcony and pool view. They can have either 1 king bed or 2 queen beds. The Pier House is located on Duval Street, right next to the pier, so it is extremely central to everything in Key West. If you take a room with 2 queen beds, it can accommodate up to 4 adults.

The other proposal we have is from the Best Western Hibiscus Motel which is located on the opposite end of Duval Street and is a little further from ‘all the action”. The room rates, however, are lower at $129 per night.

I am still waiting to hear back from a few other hotels to see what their pricing is, but I wanted to get this information out to everyone as soon as possible.

Anyone interested in sky diving must be over 18 y/o and weigh less than 240 lbs. A $50 non-refundable deposit will be needed to reserve your spot on the sky diving adventure. The deposit is required because the sky diving company will charge us this money if you cancel. The airplane will take 2 sky divers up at a time (plus the tandem partner). So we are not able to all go together. A spectator’s area is located at the airport where our friends can watch & wait for our safe return.

The cost per person is $245 if you pay by credit card or $225 by using cash. Video and stills are $99 per person.

We need to get an indication of how many people will be coming so we can finish making all the necessary arrangements. To reserve your place in the trip, a $50 deposit will be required for each group that is traveling. This $50 deposit is separate from the $50 deposit for sky diving.

Provisions will be made in case there is any inclement weather that prevents the trip from taking place and you will receive either a refund or the deposit will be applied to the trip for when it is rescheduled. The deposits will be processed through Paypal, so your payment is secure.

Saturday night pub crawl to celebrate our successful sky dives, Sunday return, leaving Key West by 2PM.

We will be finalizing all plans & accommodations after this event is published. Please email info@mycircles.com to get the final details and to reserve your spot on the trip. Space is subject to availability and will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Skydive Key West. We are a very personal Dropzone and take tremendous pride in our 100% safety record, our experience (instructors with 5000+ jumps) and our professionalism. And of course, the beautiful Florida Keys is the most gorgeous place to ever make a skydive. We are located on Sugarloaf Key, which is on mile marker 17 on US Hwy 1. That’s just 15-20 Minutes outside of Key West.
We do tandem skydives like you can see on the picture on our website SkydiveKeyWest.com everyday between 10am and sunset. After just a brief training tape, you’ll be able to experience the rush of jumping out of a ‘perfectly good airplane’ and freefall at 120 miles per hour.

from The Society for the Preservation
of Lost Things and Missing Time
June 24 – September 19, 2010
Main Library, 2nd floor exhibition space, 101 W. Flagler Street, Miami – 305.375.2665
Reception (with Solomon Graves!): Thursday, June 24, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

The Society for the Preservation of Lost Things and Missing Time presents objects overlooked in history’s master narrative. This special installation of photographs, archival materials, and objects documenting the odd, arcane and archaic in the State of Florida is curated by TSPLTMT’s Executive Director, Solomon Graves. The exhibition includes displays on Jacqueline Cochran, the Space Coast Polymath; the Archives of Dr. Eugene Birchwood, documenting his involvement with the Godsped Airstream Community; and brand new images of a failed city in the Okefenokee Swamp!

UPDATE: The Miami-Dade Public Library System is thrilled to announce that Solomon Graves will be present at the reception. He will be at Main Library completing exhibition-related work on a rare Miami stopover between research trips.

Our Mission is to Prevent the Loss of Fringe Thought, to keep lit the Fire of Impossibility, to find that which lay Undiscovered beneath Dust and Sediment,/ out of Sight and Forgotten./Missing time was recorded and we are witness after the fact./ Its Products Whisper to Us across Timespace./It is our Mission to Thwart the all too common Demise of Things,/ Stories, Ideas, which may not fit History’s Master Narrative./ We crave the Archaic and Arcane, the Strange, the Paranormal,/ the Outer Edge, the Little Known , those Things imbued / with Magical Properties, the Folkloric, the Homemade, the Story-told, /the Other World-ly./Left-Field.
Shown: from Failed City in the Swamp, digital print, 2010

Paredolia
Derek Buckner
June 24 – September 26, 2010
Main Library, 1st floor exhibition space
New York artist Derek Buckner works obsessively on series of paintings in which he takes on a specific subject (highway, truck, landscape), shown from a birds’ eye perspective, and explores its variation on a theme. This exhibition features one of Buckner’s latest series of oil paintings portraying images of UFOs as the dominant feature; depictions of the cityscape, buildings, and the earth are implied rather than a central figure. The dreamy yet haunting works explore the poetics of the unfamiliar and accentuate the ambiguity and psychological impact of the unknown.

Derek Buckner grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He went on to study at Vassar College and received his B.F.A. from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has exhibited in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Italy, Mexico, East Hampton, and Sante Fe. His work is in numerous private and corporate collections in this country and abroad. This is his first solo exhibition in Miami, Fl.
Shown: Derek Buckner, UFO Sighting #2, 2009, oil on panel.

Human Rites Exhibition Opening Reception at Bass Museum 6/24/10

human rites opening reception: Thursday, June 24 – 7-9pm
Gertrude Silverstone Muss Gallery
6pm: private curator tour for upper level members ($125 and higher)
free for members, $10 for non-members

The Bass Museum of Art is pleased to present Human Rites. This exhibition examines ritual through art; and it also examines art through ritual, depending on your point of view. From mundane human activities to sacred practices, from the past through the present, rites and rituals have been pervasive subjects in artistic practice. Human Rites will present works such as 15th century devotional polychrome statues of Mary and 16th century altarpieces alongside works by renowned contemporary artists. This juxtaposition of works circumscribes the timelessness of rituals, expressed historically and anthropologically in religious, as well as other contexts.

Works of art in this exhibition also reflect both the subconscious and premeditated human need for rituals in our every day lives. Votive works by Janine Antoni and Marina Abramovich survey the ceremonial aspects of womanhood; Rirkrit Tiravanija’s Buddha figurines describe the devotional offerings that people manufacture for their gods; collected items by artists like Mark Dion, John Beech, and César Trasobares investigate form, the found object and performative aspects; Allan McCollum ‘s repetitive series’ reflect the construction of objects as substitutes for the real object. Ai Wei Wei uses the bicycle as both symbol and found object in the construction of a monumental totem form. Artists in the exhibition include: Thomas Hirschhorn, Priscilla Monge, El Anatsui, Erwin Wurm, Mark Dion, Christian Boltanski and Cesar Trasobares, and others.

Curated by Silvia Karman Cubiñá, Bass Museum of Art Executive Director and Chief Curator, and Steve Holmes, Adjunct Curator, Bass Museum of Art. This exhibition is the second of three exhibitions in The Endless Renaissance series at the Bass Museum, that began with the exhibition The Endless Renaissance in 2009 and will conclude with a publication in 2012.

Chairmans Reserve Rum / St.Lucia
Bodega Fin Del Mundo Malbec
Postales Del Fin Del Mundo Merlot
Postales Del Fin Del Mundo Malbec
Villa Diana Pinot Grigio

Chairman’s Reserve was first blended in 1999 and was overseen by the then Chairman, Laurie Barnard who conceived a quality rum which was blended using continuous and pot still rums coming on stream after ageing. Local demand has been phenomenal and the brand has expanded internationally, where the versatility of the rum makes for great cocktails.?Chairman’s Reserve recently won Gold – Best in Class at the International Wine & Spirits Competition and Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Tasting Note: Good dark brown amber colour. The pot still richness comes through on the nose with sweet honeyed fruit and spicy vanilla from the oak. The palate is balanced, with a mellow but complex mix of ripe raisin fruit, tobacco and spice. The rum has a long enjoyable finish. In St. Lucia Chairman’s reserve is best enjoyed with coconut water but can be drunk neat or with a chaser of your choice.

On 12th St. and Brickell Ave, behind Gordon Biersch, and in front of the Mellon Financial Center. We deliver!

The Miami Music Festival conference for emerging artists will be held at the Hyatt Regency Miami and will offer a series of panels, master classes, workshops and interactive sessions designed to give musicians hands-on instruction and information about navigating today’s music industry.

“The Miami music scene is thriving and offers a nice mix of rock, alternative, Latin, urban, Caribbean and jazz artists. We expect to see some amazing local artists at the Soul of Miami stage,” said the festival’s CEO Irwin Kornfeld. This year’s event will showcase more than 500 performances by new and developing artists at venues throughout Miami and Miami Beach, including two daytime sessions on five stages at Bayfront Park, in addition to a show at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.

The Soul Of Miami website (soulofmiami.org) was started by James Echols and Annette Peikert in July of 2008 to share information about fun events taking place in South Florida. Without any marketing or promotion whatsoever, the Soul Of Miami quickly became very popular amongst scenesters and partiers. It is now the go-to site for thousands of locals seeking the best of Miami’s social offerings. “We are very excited to participate in the Second Annual Miami Music Festival. Miami sorely needs to promote its live music scene, and we are happy to be a part of it,” says Soul Of Miami co-owner James Echols.

A list of performing artists at the Soul of Miami stage will be available soon on their website, www.soulofmiami.org. For other information regarding the Miami Music Festival and Artists Conference, please visit www.MiamiMusicFestival.org.

LOGO Projects @ Ocean Ophthalmology Group
LOGO Projects at Ocean Ophthalmology Group
1400 NE Miami Gardens Drive, Suite 203
North Miami Beach, FL 33179

http://oceanophthalmology.com/index.php?page=logo-art-projects

LOGO Projects in conjunction with Ocean Ophthalmology Group is pleased to host a survey of paintings and drawings by Miami-based artist Adriano Nicot. The collection will be on display and open to the public from June 28th through October 29th, 2010.

Featuring over 30 works on canvas and paper this exhibition highlights pieces in which the artist explores the mystical underpinnings of the daily. In Nicot’s hands chickens, chairs, and babies alike are all imbued with a heavy yet inexplicable symbolism. A couple matter-of-factly holds hands under a hovering fish and clowns (or are these ladies of high fashion?) hollowly meet the viewer’s gaze, daring us to laugh (or to not laugh?). Nicot’s austere marks are often strongly reminiscent of prehistoric cave paintings, his smoky compositions are always both timeless and reverent.

Born in 1964 in La Habana, Cuba, Adriano Nicot began his formal studies in art at an early age at the Biblioteca Nacional. He continued his education at the prestigious San Alejandro Academy of Art in Havana where he graduated in 1993 with a major in Painting and Engraving. Since then Nicot has garnered numerous intercollegiate and national awards, including a First Prize in Artwork at the 1994 competition Arte Siete, and his works are included in private collections in the US, Canada, Mexico, South America, Europe and Asia. He currently lives and works in Miami, FL. Nicot’s work is catalogued online: http://www.picturetrail.com/nicot

LOGO Projects is a non-profit program dedicated to matching artists and curators with professional business spaces. The program was founded by Kharis Kennedy, a New York-based artist, and Dr. Kevin Stewart. Dr. Stewart, a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist from New York, relocated to Miami in 2008 to open Ocean Ophthalmology Group with Jesse Pelletier, MD, a cornea & refractive surgery specialist from Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.

Chef Michael Psilakis and Restaurateur Donatella Arpaia to Open New Restaurant bistro e 7/10/10

VICEROY TO OPEN bistro e
AN ELEVATED DINING EXPERIENCE AT GROUND FLOOR PRICING
ARRIVES DOWNTOWN JULY 12

Michelin-starred Chef Michael Psilakis and restaurateur Donatella Arpaia, co-founders and creators of eos in Miami and Kefi restaurant in Manhattan, are launching a new concept for fast, inspired and affordable downtown breakfast and lunch, aptly named bistro e.

The restaurant, residing in the same 15th floor space of Viceroy Miami as its nightly counterpart eos – the yin to bistro e’s yang, maintains Chef Psilakis’s dedication to local seasonal ingredients while lowering prices and speeding up service. With menu options, such as e | appetizers, e | main courses, e | specials and e | snacks starting at $5, bistro e is the go-to spot for Brickell power meetings and social experiences, priced for frequency and affordability starting July 12. There will be a different e³ | daily special, featuring three-course meal selections for “$15 on 15th” including a pint of beer. . Speedy service will be ensured with the presentation of an hourglass on the table upon arrival, so all staff will be aware and lunch guests can get in and out within 60 minutes, if requested.

The cooking style for bistro e is what Chef Psilakis affectionately refers to as “First Generation American Cuisine,” a melting pot of foreign dishes fused with American favorites. The menu, uniquely similar to the cultural blends of Miami residents, delivers a farm-to-table approach with ingredients hand-picked at their ripest and ready to serve. Each dish is thoughtfully composed, showcasing the chef’s exceptional talent for balancing flavors.

Breakfast offerings, ideal for the time-pressed yet discriminating executive or traveler, includes cast-iron frittatas, country fried breakfast and grab-and-go favorites like mouth-watering danishes, muffins and croissants; seasonal fruits; freshly squeezed juices; and an assortment of organic teas and a signature whipped café con leche.

Lunch guests indulge in a wide variety of appetizers and snacks ($5 – 10) including grilled San Marzano tomato, mozzarella and basil pizza and Chef Michael’s one of a kind guacamole; sandwiches, salads and burgers ($14 – 18), such as the e Burger with mushrooms, gruyere and bacon and egg optional served on a brioche bun and brisket French dip with gruyere, caramelized onions and garlic with dipping jus; and main dishes or specials ($13 – 22) including Linguine with Clams in garlic white wine sauce and Hanger Steak with crispy potatoes and charred tomatoes.

Recognized for bringing Greek cuisine to the modern culinary stage at three Manhattan restaurants, Chef Psilakis has earned many culinary and hospitality awards. He was named “Best New Chef” by Food & Wine (2008) and “Chef of the Year” by both Bon Appétit (2008) and Esquire (2007). Psilakis is currently a judge on The Food Network’s hit reality show, Ultimate Recipe Showdown. Donatella has been featured on NBC’s Today Show, Bravo’s Top Chef, and the Food Network’s Iron Chef America, and profiled as the 31st “Most Powerful Woman” in Manhattan by The New York Post.

bistro e is located on the 15th floor of Viceroy Miami [485 Brickell Avenue] in the heart of downtown Miami and is open seven days a week, serving breakfast from 6:30 AM – 11 AM and lunch from 11 AM – 4 PM. Eos will open for dinner from 6 PM – 11 PM. For reservations please call 305-503-0373 or visit www.viceroymiami.com.

Florida International Wine Challenge 6/24-25/10

6th Annual Florida International WIne Challenge The Palms Resort and Spa Miami Beach June 24th & 25th The Wine Marketing Group
www.fIwc.Net

The 6th Annual Florida International Wine Challenge (FIWC), Florida’s leading professional wine competition, will host its 2010 edition on June 24 and 25, at the luxurious Palms Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida. Once again, the FIWC will bring together a wide group of respected and infuential wine industry professionals, including wholesalers, restaurateurs, retailers and journalists from across the United States as well as internationally to taste hundreds of wines.

This has a major advantage for wineries seeking to increase their presence in Florida, America’s largest wine market behind California. With total consumption in excess of 56 million gallons and retail sales approaching $2 billion, Florida is also the nation’s fastest growing wine market. Wineries from 16 countries including Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Chile, France, Germany, Italy, Lebanon, New Zealand, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, United States and Uruguay submitted their wines in the 5th annual edition for an opportunity to win one of the coveted medals awarded by the FIWC tasting board.

Founded in 2004, the FIWC offers domestic and international wine producers an invaluable and cost-effective opportunity to have their wines put in front of a prestigious group of individuals intimately associated with fne wine. The FIWC remains focused on providing participating wineries with invaluable unbiased feedback that they can use to increase their sales in America and the state of Florida thanks to a unique list of benefts offered to medal winners.

The proceeds from the Florida International Wine Challenge will beneft two very worthwhile charities. We are proud to work with and support both the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation and the Melanie Finley Ovarian Cancer Foundation. After the professional tasting conducted behind closed doors, the wines from the 2010 FIWC will open to the trade, media and general public to give them an opportunity to test their palates against the participating panelists. This event will also further support our charitable partners.

Gold & Silver Medal winners will be featured in the 2010 edition of the Miami International Wine Fair, October 16 and 17. These wines will shown poured at the VIP section of the Fair. The timing for this is perfect; it will be just as people are beginning to consider their holiday wine purchases.

Performance ,,,!!!…A roast, in North American is an event in which an individual is subjected to a public presentation of comedic insults, outlandish true and untrue stories. the implication being that the roastee is able to take the jokes in good humor and not as serious criticism or insult, and therefore, show their good nature. It is seen as a great honor to be roasted, as the individual is surrounded by friends, fans, and well-wishers, who can receive some of the same treatment as well during the course of the evening. The party and presentation itself are both referred to as a roast. The host of the event is called the roastmaster. Anyone who is honored in such a way is said to have been “roasted”.

Stefanie has been gaining recognition across the State of Florida for her originality, passion, and alluring vocals. myspace.com/stefaniesmerkers

Artwork:
Kacey Westall Keogh received her BFA from FIU and has exhibited work and performed live drawings nationwide including The Wallflower Gallery, ArtCenter South Florida, EdgeZones Gallery, SCOPE Art Fair, Miami Art Space and Rochester Contemporary Art Center. Her work deals with ephemeral thoughts and the perplexity of the conscious and unconscious mind. www.KaceyWestall.com

She has also been commissioned by many local businesses for her commercial photography and her work has been featured in numerous local magazines. She welcomes a good challenge and will create an original theme to fit any of her client’s vision. She specializes in commercial, fashion, and portrait prints. www.starrnightphtography.net

Polly Peachums is the alter ego of south Florida artist and hairstylist Stefanie Merullo. Her work explores femininity and the blurry line of a mature woman and child on the brink discovering her sexuality. Her illustrations are small and shy depicting her brightly colored girls with big curious eyes and curvaceous figures usually teetering on big platforms. She exhibits monthly with other low brow artists at Howley’s Diner in West Palm Beach and also takes part in local indie craft fairs such as Delray Beach’s annual Stitch Rock and is always working on custom pieces.

Michael D’Abbieri graduated from the Joe Blasco School of Make Up Artistry with skills to construct make-ups transferable for film, print and television as well as special events and special make-up effects. Determined to exceed the limits and ready to take the tides in such a shallow industry, he is enthusiastic about being on location and can create any style of make-up from a clean beauty make-up to high couture runway fashion, or from an easy “painless” black eye to a grungy caveman who crashed his pterodactyl in a racing match.

BoomBoxx specializes in unique, accessible, wearable, and desirable vintage looks and styles from the 80’s, 90’s, and now. We scour mountains of threads to uncover those “to die for pieces”, and each garment is hand selected especially with the BoomBoxx Girl in mind. We thrive on the concept of fashion reincarnation, where once forgotten styles can be resurrected from the garment graveyards, then primed and primped for their grand re-entrance into a fab new life.

Blondes vs Brunettes Elisabetta showcase at Rik Rak sponsored by CoupTessa 6/24/10

RikRak Salon Boutique & Bar hosts Elisabetta Fantone‘s “Blondes vs. Brunettes” series, featuring Gretchen Rossi of The Real Housewives of Orange County— Sponsored by CoupTessa.com

The ultimate question of “Who’s hotter?” is finally settled on June 24th , 2010 at the RikRak Salon Boutique & Bar on Brickell Avenue as international artist Elisabetta Fantone puts it to a vote with an interactive exhibit entitled “Blondes vs. Brunettes”. Not to worry, no arduous registration process required for this election, as crossing the RikRak threshold completes the task, making every guest an eligible voter. This highly anticipated event is already being raved about as one of the “5 Best Things to Do” this month in Miami by Plum TV. “Blondes vs. Brunettes” is sponsored by CoupTessa.com, the newest online coupon site for women, and promises an electrifying evening of sugar and champagne featuring pop-art, Cupcakes by Kristy, Lunetta Prosecco provided by Palm Bay International, and last but certainly not least, a good old-fashioned female rivalry.

Italian by birth, yet a citizen of the world, Elisabetta Fantone is a jet-setting multi-faceted superstar poised for international esteem. In 2006, she conquered Canada with her stunning beauty and undeniable acting prowess, and now, four short years later, she boasts celebrated pop-art painter and chart-topping vocalist as additions to her already impressive resume.

“Blondes vs. Brunettes” is a compilation of pieces from Fantone’s most recent pop-art collections: “Blonde Icons” and “Iconic Brunettes”. This collective series of portraits features icons like Sophia Lauren, Marilyn Monroe, Linda Evangelista, Kate Moss, and Elizabeth Taylor, among others. Fantone even showcases beauties from the ever-popular reality TV genre like starlet Gretchen Rossi. Fantone’s fascination with high-profile women who wear their hair color with such confidence and panache that it becomes their signature is what inspired her to paint Rossi, Bravo’s The Real House Wives of Orange County’s most controversial blonde, and invite her to participate in the event. Rossi, who has recently launched Gretchen Christine Beaute, a line of stunning beauty products, will share the night with Fantone by unveiling the line to the women of Miami, while celebrating her insatiable portrait by the artist.

These ladies may be easy on the eyes but they are also no slouches in the social media department. This event will be streamed live from the RikRak Salon Boutique & Bar on the Elisabetta Fantone Facebook Fan Page as well as on affiliate sponsor sites, CoupTessa.com and RikRak.com. As if being able to view this fete as it happens live is not enough, the online audience will also be invited to Tweet with the blonde & brunette guests of honor -Fantone, Rossi, Tessa and Raquel Waters (owner of RikRak)- throughout the event. These lucky interactive participants will also be able to cast their vote for their favorite painting and participate in other live give-aways right from the comfort of their home, globally! Not only will this be the party of the year combining beauty, art, fashion, and fun with some of the finest women stateside but it will also be a social media soiree for the ages – the first of it’s kind- NOT to be missed.

Exhibition Provides a Glimpse into Studios and Minds of Miami’s Art Community
With New and Never-Before-Seen Works by Miami-based Artists

June 10, 2010 – MIAMI – Miami Art Museum, a modern and contemporary art museum located in downtown Miami, FL, will provide a partial snapshot of the Miami art scene at this moment with New Work Miami, opening Sunday, July 18, 2010 and closing on Sunday, October 17, 2010. This Miami Art Museum-organized exhibition is conceived as an exuberant salute to Miami’s artistic community, which is bursting with dynamism and sophisticated artistic points of view.

Approximately 35 artists based in the Miami area will present new and recent artworks executed in a variety of media including painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, video, environmental installation and performance. The bulk of the exhibition will be presented in Miami Art Museum’s recently unified 5,000 sq. ft. Plaza Level Gallery, with numerous performances, events and screenings to be presented throughout the exhibition’s run.

“The aim is to connect Miami Art Museum’s broad audience – which includes a full spectrum of Miami’s population, from avid art followers to the general public – with the exciting and innovative artistic developments unfolding right in our backyard,” said Peter Boswell, MAM assistant director for programs/senior curator. “Nearly every aspect of the production, from the gallery notes, to the title wall, to the sounds in the elevator, will be created by artists in an effort to activate the museum artistically as much as possible.”

Many of the artists are creating works for the exhibition that reach beyond the museum walls, including the Talking Head Transmitters, who will broadcast interviews with both scheduled guests and walk-in MAM visitors over live AM radio. On the lobby monitors, a video artwork by Tatiana Vahan, which depicts scenes from the artist’s childhood embodying a typical, middle-class American family, intermittently interrupted by real TV commercials. Gean Moreno and Ernesto Oroza will turn the exhibition’s gallery notes from a traditional museum brochure format to a tabloid newspaper that will be distributed at various public locations throughout the city. Other artworks will challenge visitors’ perceptions, such as Don Lambert’s Flatland, a large sculpture with rapidly spinning circles that create the illusion of a vortex-like dept, and an optical phenomenon of suggested color. Felecia Chizuko Carlisle will return regularly throughout the run of the show to continue transforming the installation of “Sketches” in space.

“More than ever the key to participating in global cultural conversations is to speak from within one’s local conditions,” says René Morales, MAM associate curator and co-organizer of the exhibition. “In Miami, we have a richly textured artistic community, one that is increasingly able to make strong and internationally relevant contributions.”

The exhibition will provide a glimpse into the studios and minds of the artists working in Miami. In addition, it will identify and clarify to Miami Art Museum’s audiences various broad patterns in local artistic production. For example, several of the artists in the exhibition focus on aspects of urban life that exist just below the surface of what we observe from day to day, while others focus on developing new approaches to traditional artistic conventions. Among the artists whose work is presented in the gallery space are Kevin Arrow, Felecia Chizuko Carlisle, Jim Drain, Lynne Golob Gelfman, Michael Genovese, Jacin Giordano, Guerra de la Paz, Adler Guerrier, Don Lambert, Gustavo Matamoros, Beatriz Monteavaro, Gean Moreno/Ernesto Oroza, Peggy Nolan, Fabian Peña, Christina Pettersson, Vickie Pierre, Manny Prieres, Christopher Stetser, Talking Head Transmitters, Robert Thiele, Mette Tommerup, Frances Trombly, Tatiana Vahan, Marcos Valella, Viking Funeral and Michelle Weinberg.

In line with Miami Art Museum’s commitment to community outreach and education, the exhibition will be supplemented with special performance events, artist talks and interactive programs throughout the course of the project. To receive event invitations and reminders, visit miamiartmuseum.org.

New Work Miami is organized by Miami Art Museum and is supported by donations to MAM’s Annual Exhibition Fund. It is curated by Peter Boswell, assistant director for programs/senior curator, and René Morales, associate curator.

Miami Art Museum serves one of the most diverse and fast-growing regions of the country, where a confluence of North and Latin American cultures adds vibrancy and texture to the civic landscape. MAM embraces its role as a cultural anchor and touchstone in a city that welcomes countless ethnic and age groups, lifestyles and ideas. MAM’s far-ranging vision is expressed in the breadth and depth of its exhibition program, and its ambitious education and public programs. The Museum continues to build its collection of holdings from the twentieth century through the present, as it embarks on a major new building and expansion project. The new MAM designed by Herzog & de Meuron will open in downtown Miami’s Museum Park in 2013.

It’s Not a Doll, It’s an Action Figure opening at Bear and Bird Gallery 6/19/10

New show opening on Saturday, June 19th
Opening Reception: Saturday, June 19 from 7-10pm
Some of the artists will be in attendance during the opening.
TATE’S Comics, Inc. | 4566 N. University Drive | Lauderhill, FL 33351
It’s Not a Doll, It’s an Action Figure will feature artwork and photography inspired by, or using, action figures. Not to be confused with dolls, the subjects of Bear and Bird Gallery’s latest exhibit are on display doing what they do best: saving, destroying and living lives of high adventure.
Guest curator A. Pants assembled a talented and diverse group of 14 international artists to participate in the show. Pants said, “Each artist was asked to recreate the memory of their favorite action figure and/or explore the fine line between an action figure and a doll.”
Bear and Bird owner/chief curator Amanda Magnetta-Ottati passed the curatorial torch for this special engagement to artist A. Pants after seeing the concept develop on Pants’ popular blog site, www.nerdsquared.com. The theme is especially appropriate for Bear and Bird Gallery, which sits atop Tate’s Comics, a popular shopping destination for toys, collectables, dolls, and action figures. The timing of the show was well planned, as Magnetta-Ottati delivered her own “doll” — a baby girl — on May 20, 2010.

Regular Exhibition Hours June 20 – July 31, 2010
Mon-Thurs 11am-8pm; Fri & Sat 11am-9pm; Sun 12noon-6pm

Art Gallery and Gypsy Jam at GAB Studio 6/12/10

Saturday, at 7:00 PM, Coffee House Gypsies is having a very special event at GAB Art & Design Studio
105 NW 23rd Street Miami, FL 33127,
Check them out online at www.gabstudio.com

We are having an art exhibit featuring some uber-talented artists who have teamed up with The CHG Band to raise money for Camillus House. Each artist is donating pieces to exhibit and sell/auction and profits will go to Camillus House to help feed the homeless right here in Miami! So yeah, tell your art-loving friends about this show! And you know your distant aunt who loves collecting art? Bring her along too!

There will be acoustic/unplugged live musical entertainment… very chilled and coffeehouse-like. The style? folk-rock/alternative/bi-polar pyschadellic acoustic-pop (provided by The Coffee House Gypsies)

At the end of the night CHG will lead an open jam with full-audience participation, so bring your singing voices and your acoustic/unplugged instruments with you! (sorry! nothing electric, nothing requiring amplification, and nothing that is “plugged-in” allowed… this is strictly acoustic and unplugged! If you are a keyboardist then grab your baby nephew’s toy piano and get ready to make music with it!)

Any local bands or singers wanting to come with acoustic/unplugged gear and jam with the CHG
is welcome to hop in at the end of the night and play/sing along on songs. Audience participation
is also expected and encouraged, as always, so get drunk and sing along, everybody!!

There will also be a drum circle led by one of the gallery hosts (at the end of the night) so be ready to FEEL the rhythm as well as the art! Bring your percussion goods! Its gonna be a lot of fun and for really good cause, so we hope to see you there!

PS- Don’t forget to download your free music at www.CoffeeHouseGypsies.com
and check out the new concert videos at the CHG YouTube channel!
