Marlins Stadium Social Media Tour on Tuesday, May 22, 2012.  The new Marlins Stadium is so beautiful, they did a wonderful job on the outside landscaping and they even have some benches made from Orange Bowl seats.  We received a grand tour and I love how open it is, no matter where you are in the stadium you can see the field no concrete walls in your way. Then we went to our seats in the visitors bull pen and was treated to a tasting of some of the food sold at the stadium. WOW the food was amazing, from oysters on the half shell, Chicharrón, steak sandwich and ceviche everything was so yummy. So if you get a change to go see the Marlin’s play, please do, not only do you get to see a great baseball game but you get to enjoy the great art, food and even some dancing at The Clevelander.

Ignite Miami announces the call for entries for Miami’s first official Ignite event. Proposals can be submitted at IgniteMiami.com/submit-talk/. The deadline for submissions is Sunday, May 6, 2012.
Share your passion with the crowd. Ignite presentations can be about anything, but take into consideration the Ignite format: Each participant will have five minutes on stage to give a 20-slide presentation, which advance every 15 seconds automatically.
Ignite Miami is part of the global Ignite movement. Fast-paced, fun, thought-provoking, social, local and
global – Ignite is all of these and more. It’s a high-energy evening of 5-minute talks by people who have and idea and the guts to get onstage and share it with their hometown crowd.
The event will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2012, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The Stage in Miami, Fla. The event is free, but attendees must RSVP at IgniteMiami.com/attend/. The Stage is a 21 and up venue.

About Ignite
Ignite got its start in Seattle in December 2006 as a personal project of O’Reilly Media’s Brady Forrest and Bre Pettis. They dreamed up an event where people could share their ideas over beer, and sent word out through their network. On December 7, two hundred Seattle geeks looking for “a fun night of geekery and networking†squeezed into a bar on Capitol Hill. They found beer, but so much more. First up, a friendly but intense competition to build the sturdiest popsicle-stick bridge. Then 25 intrepid locals took a turn on the stage for their five-minute Ignite talks. The consensus was that it was a blast. Word got out, and other communities wanted Ignite in their cities. Brady and Bre turned the event over to O’Reilly, and nearly 200 Ignites have been held, about half of them in the past year.
