The Stage 1st Anniversary Bash Weekend will feature Miami’s Best Live Music, Leading National Acts, Live Painting, Block Party Celebration, Food Trucks, and Many Surprises!
Voted by the Miami New Times as Miami’s Best New Live Music Venue, The Stage, announces a weekend-long party celebrating it’s First Year Anniversary with over 25 musical performances live painting, food truck rally and many more surprises!
In only one year, The Stage burst onto the Miami music scene as a force to be reckoned with and is considered by many to be Miami’s premier live music venue. Booking of local, national and semi national acts remains at the forefront of the groups mission and the heart of its model for success. In less than a year, The Stage received the coveted “Best of Miami” selection by the Miami New Times’ naming it “Best New Live Music Venue” in 2010.
The Stage, located in the famed Miami Design District, is a mythical invitation to delve yourself in live music and art. Emblazoned in New Orleans and Brooklyn chic, the colors and warmth inspire you to take in the moment. The Stage is a mindful combination of elements. Its aim is to fuse the long running traditions of live music, laid back coffee house cool, and the present moment awareness of a live theatrical venue. The Stage aims to celebrate art and culture, the basic elements of artistic expression, all packaged seamlessly and coupled with master sound, inspiring acts and an all-around ambience for a good time.
The four-day celebration kicks off on Thursday, November 10th with The Stooges Brass Band and two-time Grammy-nominated Locos Por Juana. The festivities will continue through Sunday, November 13th for a weekend-long celebration featuring over 25 musical acts. On Friday, November 11th, The Stage will host a VIP Happy Hour and Media Mixer for The Stage’s loyal friends and media mavens featuring some amazing acts such as Cody ChestnuTT. Many acclaimed musicians count Cody ChesnuTT as an exciting force within the field of music. In an MTV interview, Radiohead’s Thom Yorke listed the singer as one of his favorite new acts. Most notable for his collaboration with The Roots’ The Seed (2.0) which was a remake of ChestnuTT’s original song by the same name.
On Saturday, November 12th, The Stage is going all out – with a Block Party Bash thanks to the generosity of the Miami Parking Authority. The Stage is closing off the parking lot adjacent to the venue for an outdoor event with complete staging area, satellite bars, food trucks, live mural painting by famed street artist, Trek Six alongside local artists and many more interactive surprises! Don’t worry; we have another lot right next door so there will be plenty of parking.
Saturday’s Block Party starts early at 3PM with some of Miami’s best music including Suenalo, Conjunto Progreso, Palo and more! The event continues into the night indoors including nationally touring The London Souls and live painting by LEBO.
Sunday’s Day Vent kicks of at 3PM as the final finale to a great anniversary weekend with music all day, drink specials and food trucks so come out for Miami’s best Bloody Mary or Mimosaand have brunch at The Stage. The fun will continue late into the night.
