Diana Fuentes, the second Cuban singer songwriter signed on by Sony Music after Celia Cruz, is a leader within the flourishing generation of performers and musicians from Cuba. Her second album, Planeta Planetario, was a joint artistic collaboration with renowned Puerto Rican musician and producer, Eduardo Cabra (Visitante), member of the band Calle 13.

She started her musical career in 2001 after she joined the Afro Cuban fusion band Sintesis, who was nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2002 for the album Habana Flor de Piel and she went on to collaborate with musicians likeDescemer Bueno (singer-songwriter of “Bailando”) Carlos Varela (singer-songwriter of theme song “Una Palabra” of the movie “Men on Fire” starring Denzel Washington), Tommy Torres (singer ft “La Fortuna”), Pablo Milanes andJoan Manuel Serrat ( Cuba Canta a Serrat ), to name a few.
Her latest single release, “La Vida Me Cambio” from her new Album, “Todo Esta Pasando” was a special collaboration with Gente De Zona; where both artists joined forces to create a summer hit single produced by Grammy award winner Motiff and filmed in Cuba by the famous director Alejandro Perez of “Bailando” and “La Gozadera”. The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) continues to celebrate the 16th anniversary of its acclaimed Miami Spice Restaurant Program with a special one-night-only dinner in partnership with David Grutman and Executive Chef Ben Goldman of Komodo. Friends of The Underline and Baptist Health South Florida are warming up for summer with a new location and time for free Saturday Yoga sessions. The yoga classes will now take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Brickell City Centre, 701 S. Miami Avenue, Miami, FL 33131, Level One North Block (enter near the Coach store). After the class, students are welcome to stick around for an AcroYoga demonstration that includes a body-bending and mind-blowing combination of acrobatics and yoga led by class instructor, Anny Noratto.
The next class is scheduled for Saturday, June 3rd, followed by Saturday, June 10th and then every other Saturday until the end of the year. Participants can sign up now on Eventbrite.

Tigertail, as part of its April-long FIRE festival, presents noted NYC-based choreographer Reggie Wilson with his dance company, Fist and Heel Performance Group, at Miami-Dade County Auditorium to perform CITIZEN.

In this work, Wilson asks, “What does it mean to belong?” and “What does it mean to NOT want to belong?”, core questions of Reggie’s investigations for this new evening-length dance work. In CITIZEN, Wilson drills down into the human desire to belong with exponentially expanding questions: “Do the injustices in today’s America engender a feeling of belonging? What supports belonging? Is belonging solely something internal, inside the individual? Is a sense of belonging or not belonging, a private or a public matter?” CITIZEN promises to engage and compel while igniting perspectives on our compassion and humanity.

MIAMI – The Miami Taste of Brickell Food & Wine Festival will toast its sixth year next May 27th 2017, Brickell’s most popular event.
The one-day Festival set for Saturday, May 27th 2017 between the hours of 1pm & 9pm is an experience the whole family can enjoy.
Be sure to bring your appetite to Saturday’s festival where guest’s will enjoy signature dishes from Miami’s best high-end restaurants as well as a variety of fine wine, spirits and craft beers, auto showcase plus live international music.
A select number of tickets will also be sold for VIP Experience which for 21 and over. The VIP area is for individuals who want to enjoy a more exclusive area which includes complimentary tastings. This year we will have celebrity chef Dee Hodges who cooks for the Miami Heat, and has been featured in Bon Appetit Magazine and Epicurious.
Guests will also be treated to live performances by some of Miami’s most famous local bands.
The Party does not end there, after parties will take place at the finish of the festival, those nightclubs participating will be offering a complimentary Taste of Brickell Drink and free entrance.

Tickets – General admission tickets are just $10.00 per person and kids 12 years of age and under will be admitted for free. Guests also may purchase the “Brickell Deal” package for $25.00 per person, which includes general admission and four drink tickets good for alcohol and non-alcohol beverages. VIP tickets are $75.00 per person. A portion of the proceeds from Miami Taste of Brickell’s Food & Wine Festival will benefit the many non-profits we support.
“Every year we try to do something a little different”, “We have had to move our festival site a few times, but word gets around and people always find us.” says Cynthia Bettner, founder of Miami Taste of Brickell. “It’s an event the whole community can enjoy!
This year, our event has moved our date to May 27th 2017 from March as not to conflict with so many other event going on nearby at the same time. Picking Memorial weekend was a great choice and we look forward to a much larger audience.
Transportation is not a problem getting to the festival. We are a walk into event – we are only 2 blocks from Brickell Metrorail and Metro movers are 1 block on both 5th and 8th Street stations. Brickell City Centre, Miami’s landmark $1.05 billion, nine-acre, work, live, and play destination, has partnered with the Miami International Boat Show in celebration of this year’s highly anticipated event taking place Thursday, February 16th through Monday, February 20th.

Brickell City Centre will be offering a list of complimentary services for boat show ticket holders including free all-day parking, free transportation to/from the show via shuttle and water taxi, and access to Brickell City Centre’s VIP lounge. Please see full details below:

• FREE parking and shuttle service:
Brickell City Centre will offer free day parking at the centre for boat show ticket holders and shuttle service from the retail centre to the water taxi terminal behind Icon, Brickell (475 Brickell Ave).Shuttle pickup location will be on 7th Ave and South Miami(see map below) and will run from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

•FREE transportation via water taxis:

The time has come for the annual October National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, when pink is the color of choice, and at Tino’s, pizza is no different. The local eatery is joining the masses to spread awareness and generate donations by hosting a pizza-making event where guests can create their very own pizza pie with pink sauce. The event will be held at 6:30pm and 8:30pm on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016. For only $22 per person, guests can enjoy the hands-on pleasure of crafting their own pizza using a variety of fresh ingredients with custom-made pink pizza sauce. Five dollars of each ticket purchased, as well as any donations, will go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and advancing the research knowledge on both the causes and treatment for breast cancer. Each pizza-maker will be able to indulge in their own creation, as well as receive a complimentary glass of rosé to pair with their pink pizza. Guests are encouraged sit back, relax, and enjoy their meal either at a table inside or in Tino’s wine garden.

The spookiest time of year is coming up soon, and that means costumes, candy and Halloween parties. East Flagler Street will close off from vehicular traffic on October 29th from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m for an adult, children and pet-friendly block party with various installations and activities, Downtown Fright Night: A Halloween Spooktacular. Kids will be able to partake in countless activities including trick-o-treating at the event’s participating vendors, face painting, arts and crafts, inflatable rides and a kids costume contest. More adult friendly activities include a “Hex your ex” station (where you can cast a spell on your ex by taking a shot), adult costume contest, and several bars of which you can find a spooky cocktail unique to Downtown Fright Night! Quinto La Huella at EAST, Miami has just launched a delightful Sunday brunch buffet, an ideal setting for getting together with our friends and family to enjoy great food, good music and of course, good vibes. The earthy, laid back and chic restaurant offers an unforgettable brunch experience at just $45 per person (with an unlimited rosé option for an additional $25) on Sundays from 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

The brunch buffet includes a variety of fresh fruit and pastry offerings in addition to dishes cooked over the open flame throughout the day, including savory steaks, chicken, fish, vegetables and pizzas. Diners can also order fresh sushi at the bar and finish their meal with a selection of delicious desserts like Pana Cotta with Mango Sauce and Carrot Cake. The culturally rich restaurant infuses beloved favorites from its famed sister restaurant in Uruguay, Parador La Huella, as well as a number of dishes created specifically for this new location, thanks to Quinto La Huella’s Executive Chef, Nano Crespo.

With 359 seats throughout the restaurant, guests can choose to dine inside in the expansive dining lounge which boasts a large central bar, or outside on the charming patio which frames spectacular views of Brickell City Centre’s Climate Ribbon, and the main attraction, the restaurant’s signature parrilla. To complete the full brunch experience, guests will enjoy live music as they take in all the good food and vibes.
